This is usually the 1st big youth wrestling tournament in the state and we generally have some very competitive weight classes.
Date: Friday, December 14, 2018
Where: Madison High School Gym 930 NE 11th Street, Madison, SD 57042
Style: Folkstyle, 8-person straight bracket, (3-5 person round robin where 8-person bracketing isn’t feasible) Girls will be placed in the same brackets as boys.
Divisions:
Tots: Born 01/01/2013 – 12/31/2017
Bantams: Born 01/01/2011 – 12/31/2012
Midgets: Born 01/01/2009 – 12/31/2010
Novice Plus***: Born 01/01/2006 – 12/31/2008 ***no 7th or 8th Graders allowed to wrestle in Novice Plus Division
Awards –Bulldog Bobble-Head Trophies for 1st, Medals for 2nd-8th
Preregistration: REQUIRED – Pre-register on Trackwrestling.com.
Deadline: 6 pm on 12/11/18 Register early, this tournament is limited to the first 400 entered. We have filled the last 4 years!
***New this year – AAU Card Number is part of the required registration process. You will be asked to provide your child’s AAU card number when you register online. A link to purchase an AAU card will be right beside where you enter the AAU card number in the registration process, if you need to purchase one.
Cost: $12 for Wrestlers, must be paid online or wrestler will not be entered into the tournament. No refunds for No-Shows. Refunds only if the event gets cancelled due to weather/other significant events. No CLUB PAY, please have individuals pay online as they register.
Check-in: 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, Wrestling begins at 6:00 pm
Admission: Adults $5, Students (non-wrestlers) $3
Coaches Bands: $5 – sold at separate table near gym, cannot be purchased in advance online.
